This project evaluates the real-world effectiveness of the Be Supported (in-home infusion education and support) component of the Be Involved program in Canada.

Be Involved is a Pfizer-funded support program for patients with hemophilia, and Be Supported ensures access to infusion assistance, including in-home education and support from a registered nurse. This program also provides patient with access to private infusion clinics managed by Shoppers Drug Mart Specialty Health Network Inc., with qualified nurses performing the infusion for patients.

The evaluation will gather data on patient well-being from a medical, functional, psychosocial, and/or quality of life perspective, and be carried out over two years by a research team consisting of Dr. John Oliffe, Claude Bartholomew, and other health professionals.
